Maryland has recently passed another very restrictive gun law, with the misnomer of "2013 Firearm Safety Act". It again infringes the Second Amendment to the Constitution.
Let's look at this from a political party point of view.
The Maryland legislature is known as the Gen. Assembly. It has a Senate, and a House of Delegates. Thomas V. Miller is the President of the Senate. He is a Democrat. The Speaker of the House of Delegates is Michael a Busch. He is a Democrat. The bill was signed into law by Gov. Martin O'Malley. He is a Democrat.
An opposing group filed suit in federal court for a stay of application of the new law. The case was heard by Federal Judge Catherine C Blake. Judge Blake denied the stay of application. She was born and presumably raised in Massachusetts; a Socialist state. She was appointed to the federal judgeship by President Clinton; a Democrat.
Why are the Democrats so intent on gun control?
Through other operations and stated political agendas, we know that Democrats are mostly Marxist in philosophy. The Socialist philosophy is to control the masses through super regulation at top levels of government. The masses are sold a bill of goods through promises of equality, and especially the redistribution of assets. This was demonstrated in the Russian Revolution, which brought the Socialists to power..
Eventually the masses realize they have been hoodwinked and are in a mood to revolt. This requires the use of firearms to combat the military of the repressive government. However, Socialist/Democrats think well into the future and take early steps to disarm the public and thereby avoid any military conflict which would threaten their power. Our founding fathers recognized this, for which reason the Second Amendment to the Constitution was added.
