In the May 21 Issue of Chemical and
Engineering News, OH reports that the US
is promoting export of green technology.
The EPA and Commerce Department have joined to reveal a plan to promote
the export of environment related technology, products, and services, in
partnership with 2 trade associations.
The
main problem with green technology is that it generally comes at a higher cost
than standard technology, which reduces its sales appeal. Because of this, I
suggest this is another boondoggle operation. If someone takes the time
to follow it, I have little doubt that after two years, it will be found that
the revenues gained from sale of green technology will be considerably less than
spent on the promotion.
